Voki is the program that creates avatars. Avatars are such a great tool to have in the classroom being a resource that can be fun and a new way of teaching.
Avatars are going to be such a great resource in the classroom with hooking children in to a topic of interest. It is not only amusing but shy children or lowel level students have a chance of progressing in a particular area by using the avatar to express their thoughts and knowledge.
The character on an avatar can be changed to keep the students engaged and wanting to know more.
Avartars can work for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and never take sick days. Their background, language, clothes can be customised to create a fun display depending on the subject.
I am definatley implementing avatars into my classroom to make it a fun environment for children to learn.
